Scholarship Program

Aboitiz Future Leaders is the College Scholarship Program of Aboitiz Foundation, dedicated to nurturing and empowering the next generation of leaders. The program that started in 2003, seeks to provide promising individuals with access to quality education, equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.


Application Timeline:

  • Opening of Application: May 06, 2024
  • Closing of Application: June 30, 2024
  • Announcement of Shortlisted Applicants: July 2024 (3rd week)
  • Interview and Personality Testing: July 2024 (4th week)
  • Announcement of New Scholars: August 2024 (1st week)

Eligibility:

To qualify for the purposive college scholarship, the applicant must:

  • Be a full-time incoming freshman of an eligible college or university
  • Be pursuing a degree identified by the Foundation
  • Have a (GPA/GWA) of at least 88% with no failing and incomplete grade.
  • Not have a record of any form of disciplinary action; and,
  • Be able to accomplish the online application form and submit the complete requirements on time.

  • A certified true copy of the applicant’s most recent grade available upon the 

      opening of the application process

  • Certifications supporting extra curricular activities.

      Aboitiz Foundation extends non-monetary benefits to its scholars for their holistic development to better prepare them for life after graduation. This       includes Scholars’ Learning Sessions, Participation in the Group’s CSR Activities, and a possible employment opportunity within the Aboitiz Group.


Frequently Asked Questions


I am currently a college student enrolled in one of your listed degree programs, can I still apply for the scholarship?
  • No. The scholarship is only open for INCOMING FRESHMEN STUDENTS
I am currently located outside Metro Manila and am planning to enroll in one of your partner schools. Am I allowed to apply for the scholarship?
  • Yes. The scholarship program is open for all applicants who possess the eligibility requirements nationwide as long as they intend to enroll in the Foundation’s partner schools.
I have submitted my scholarship application to CHED and DOST. Am I still allowed to apply for the scholarship?
  • Yes. Only corporate funded scholarship programs are not allowed under the program
Do you accept applicants who plan to enroll in a course not found on your list of pre-identified degree programs?
  • No. The degree programs are pre-identified to align with the Group’s future talent needs. Thus, only applicants who are willing to take STEM-related courses are eligible to apply.
Would you consider applicants who will be enrolling to a school not listed as your partner?
No. Only applicants who are willing to enroll in one of our partner schools are eligible to apply for the program.
Do I need to be accepted by the partner schools first before I can be allowed to apply to the program?
  • No. However, the scholarship grant will be based on the degree program and school you declared on your application. Should you be accepted as one of the scholars for the incoming school year, you will be required to enroll to your declared school as part of the conditions of your admission in the program.
I graduated from Senior High School a few years ago but was not able to proceed to college due to financial challenges. Can I still apply for the program?
  • Yes. The program is open for all incoming freshmen students regardless of the year of graduation from senior high school.
Are screenshots or web generated grades from our official portal accepted?
  • No. Grades should be authenticated and certified by the School Principal.
I only have my grades for the 1st or 2nd grading period, would that be considered valid for my application?
  • Yes. What we require is an authenticated copy of your latest available grade
Can we submit our application personally at your office?
  • No. Applications are made online. Personal submissions will not be accepted.
When will we know the results of the application?
  • Results will be made available via our official FB Page on the indicated timeline.
I do not have certifications to prove my extra curricular involvement. Are there other proofs I can submit?
  • If you don't have certifications to prove your extra-curricular involvement, you may submit any documentation or testimonials from organizers or supervisors that can verify your involvement.
I do not have any extra curricular involvement. Will I still be able to apply?
  • Yes. You can still apply but your application will not be considered. Your extra-curricular activities are part of the consideration in screening your application. 
I have recently received my most updated grades. Am I allowed to resubmit my application?
  • Yes. We will consider the most recent submitted application. Just ensure all the details are completely filled out.
Would the interviews be conducted in-person?
  • Yes. Further instructions will be communicated via email should you be shortlisted.
Is there an exam we need to take for the program?
  • Yes. Should you be shortlisted, you will be given an exam link via email to complete a personality assessment exam.
