League of Corporate Foundations
Established in 1991, the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) is a network of over 60 corporate foundations and corporations engaged in social development work throughout the Philippines. These organizations are involved in several sectors: arts and culture, education, enterprise development, environment, health, and youth development.
Members engage in a constant exchange and benchmarking of best practices to make their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs more effective, efficient and responsive. Presently, the LCF’s main thrust is to bring CSR into the boardroom by working with CEOs in integrating development management work with their core businesses. This will ensure the long-term sustainability of their contributions to society and lead to more meaningful and effective CSR programs.
The Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. is an active member of the League of Corporate Foundations since 1999. Its EVP & Managing Trustee, Mr. Augusto P.I. Carpio III, is now the chair of the LCF.

Association of Foundations
The Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. has been a member of the Association of Foundations (AF) since 2000, actively supporting its advocacies and activities.
The Association of Foundations is the country’s first network of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Its mission is to enable its member foundations to have sustainable programs that serve communities. Through the years, AF has become a bridge to grant opportunities, a capacity builder, a data bank, a consultant and an advocate of key issues. It is committed to the constant growth and professionalism of its member foundations in their efforts to improve the quality of human life.
AF is the most experienced federation of foundations in the country and has a membership of over 100 foundations all over the Philippines. Initially, it operated as a clearinghouse of information for the foundations. It also initiated the accreditation of member foundations in order to maintain the highest standards of integrity at a time when foundations lacked the esteem they deserved.
It has now presently evolved to becoming a venue where people and foundations with expertise in specific fields shared their knowledge and experiences with those who are smaller or newer. As a result, AF operated as an advocacy body dedicated to fostering a deeper public understanding of foundations as institutions of nation-building.
Aboitiz Foundation's EVP & Managing Trustee, Mr. Augusto P.I. Carpio III, sits as board trustee and head of membership and finance committee in the Association of Foundations.
A manifestation of the Aboitiz Foundation’s strong bias towards education, specifically in quality education, is its involvement and support in the formation of the Coalition for Better Education (CBE) in Cebu.
Coalition for Better Education
CBE is a non-stock, non-profit, multi-sectoral organization created to promote responsive quality education in the province of Cebu by addressing issues on teachers’ training and development, curriculum development, academe-industry-government linkage, leadership and governance and the educational community.
