Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., the social development arm of the Aboitiz Group, extended microfinance loans worth Php28 million in 2012 to various cooperatives in Cebu, Benguet and Davao, allowing more than 1,200 individuals to benefit from sustainable livelihood projects that were implemented in these areas.

The Aboitiz Foundation is now a certified accredited training provider effective March 2013 issued by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). This accreditation is being guided by the Memorandum Circular No. 2011-14 known as the Standard Training Curricula for Cooperatives dated May 9, 2011.
